I have been building Red Hat compatible binaries (RPM) of recent Octave 
releases, and my .spec file includes instructions for building proper 
ls-R files (the Red Hat distributed file has invalid ones). With the 
recent changes in how Octave uses the kpathsea code, is the ls-R file 
still necessary?
